Sharon Ahern, 70 , Lake Panasoffkee, FL, passed away on February 2, 2022. She was born on January 6, 1952, in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Charles and Thelma Matson.

Mrs. Ahern loved music, specifically blues and the Beatles. She was one of the founders of the New York State Blues Festival and published “Blues Connection” magazine. She also organized Blues ‘N’ Boati Gras for more than 10 years in Sylvan Beach, NY.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Kim F. Ahern; daughters, Danielle Ahern and Jennifer Heath (Justin); grandchildren, Ryan Heath, Devin Carruthers, Kamryn Heath and Naytiri Carruthers; sisters, Dawn Sugrue (John) and Diana Murphy; sisters-in-law, Katrina Squires (Steven) and Pamela LaVarnway (Michael); several nieces and nephews and her dog, Angel.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Thompson (John); brothers-in-law, Shannon Ahern and Edward Murphy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
