Opal Stowe

Opal Mae Stowe, 92, of Lecanto, Florida, passed away on  November 5, 2020.  She was born August 7, 1928 in Putman, WV to Lloyd and Bessie Leadmon.

Opal has lived in Citrus County since 2002.  She was a member of the Gulf to Lake Baptist Church in Crystal River and would visit nursing homes with prayer groups.  She loved God and her cats.  Opal was a country girl, not only did she cook deer, she cleaned it too. She loved being a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Tim Stowe, a son, Michael, and her parents and siblings.  Survivors include two sons, John Stowe and Thomas Stowe and her daughter, Kathy Cataldi,  as well as twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and  six great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Monday, November 9, 2020 at the Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Mrs. Stowe will be laid to rest at Garden Park Cemetery,   Conroe, Texas.
