Skip Batton

Skip Batton, 73, of Inverness, FL, passed away on August 28, 2022.  He was born in 1949 in St. Petersburg, FL to John and Evelyn Batton.

Skip was the successful owner of Burch Automotive in St. Pete from 1968-2002. He relocated his shop to Hernando in 2002 until he recently retired after 54 years in business. He enjoyed racing and fishing, winning many a race and tournament. He was a loving husband, father, uncle and grandfather and will be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette; son, Patrick; daughter, Michelle Santy and her husband Bary; grandson, James Santy; granddaughters, Taylor Santy and Sidney Batton; sisters, Sandy Williams, Sue Lyle and Pam Aldous and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Heinz Funeral Home, 2507 HWY 44 W., Inverness, FL. The family will begin receiving friends at 2:00 PM until the time of service.
