Sherrill Luke

Sherrill L. Luke , 82, of Inverness, FL, was promoted to Glory on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at her residence under the loving care of Hospice and her family. Sherrill was born on January 23, 1935 in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of George and Mildred Hubbard. Sherrill and her husband felt called by the Holy Spirit to become a ministers in The Salvation Army. After 2 years of seminary, they were commissioned as officers and began a long journey with The Salvation Army.   Sherrill served the needs of God through her ministry.

Sherrill enjoyed reading the bible, cleaning and playing games on the computer.  Her special time was being with her family and sharing her love of the Lord with them.

Survivors include her husband Donald, four children; Karen Wortman, Janelle Luke, Sherrill Cordero all of Inverness, FL and Steven Luke of Hawaii, one brother, Daniel Hubbard of Essexville, MI, 8 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A Memorial Service for Sherrill will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Salvation Army Worship Center in Lecanto, FL. Inurnment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL
