Ruth Manning

Ruth A. Manning, 94, of Lecanto, died on May 1, 2014 at HPH Hospice in New Port Richey, FL.  Ruth was born on April 24, 1920 in Orange, NJ, daughter of Harrison and Roseanne Corby.  She served in the U.S. Women’s Army Corps during WWII.  Ruth retired as a manager for the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.  She moved to Lecanto in 1986 from Montclair, NJ.  Ruth was a member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto and member of the New Jersey Club of Citrus County.

Mrs. Manning was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Manning, son, William J. Manning, brothers, William and Walter Corby, sisters, Rose Dayton and Alice Hess.  Survivors include her son, Walter Manning of Seminole, FL and grandchildren, John and Nicole Manning of Seminole, FL.

The family of Mrs. Manning will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness.  Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
