Maurice Alexander Wyckoff was born October 9, 1937, at Denton Township, Roscommon County, Michigan. He was laid to rest in the Lord in Inverness, Florida, Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the age of 88 years. A memorial service will be held in Inverness, Florida, Saturday, January 31 at the Inverness Seventh-day Adventist Church at 7 PM (visitation will begin at 6 PM). Maurice will then return to Michigan where he will be interred at the Roscommon Village Cemetery located in the Village of Roscommon, Michigan in April 2026. A graveside memorial service will also occur at that time.

Maurice was the second son of Alexander James Wyckoff and Gladys (Sinclair) Wyckoff. Maurice was proceeded in death by his older brother James Clayton Wyckoff, and his two younger twin brothers, Alfred Daryl Wyckoff, and Albert Harold Wyckoff.

In 1955, sisters Deb Bileth and Jan Bileth came to live with the Wyckoff family temporarily. The temporary stay lasted into adulthood and Maurice gained two sisters whom he loved dearly. Deb married Ralph Carroll and they have two children, Rachelle and Michael. Jan married Bob Phelps and they have a daughter, Jayme.

Maurice married Carol (Peace) Wyckoff November 23, 1957, at Holly, Michigan and were married for 68 years. Three children blessed their marriage, Timothy Alan Wyckoff, Michael Maurice Wyckoff, and Patti Sue (Wyckoff) Kendall (Robert). Patti preceded Maurice in death.

During his lifetime, Maurice had several careers. As a youth, Maurice worked with his father as an interior trim carpenter. Maurice then acquired a Bachelor’s degree with a major in education and was certified to teach both elementary school and English, Math, and Science on the secondary level. Maurice taught for 21 years then returned to school and became an LPN. Maurice enjoyed working in the nursing home. He loved his “little old people.”

After Maurice‘s Mother was laid to rest, Maurice‘s father married Margaret Monchilov and Maurice gained two sisters, Margie and Rosemary and a brother Jim. Hurrah, more family.

Family was a center of Maurice‘s life and he leaves behind two sons, Tim and Mike, four grandchildren, Brandy, Jesse, James, and Trey, and nine great grandchildren, Caleb, Sabastian, Ethen, Gavin, Brayden, Grenlee, Avery, Maggie, and Benjamin, as well as the host of family mentioned above.

All of Maurice‘s family and friends were greatly blessed by the Christ centered life that Maurice led.
