MaryAnn Valdez

Valdez, MaryAnn, 85, passed on May 2, 2026 in Lecanto, Florida. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, on August 5, 1940 to the late Gasper and Concetta Galletta Moscuzza.

MaryAnn grew up in Tampa Florida and lived there until 1966. Her husband Charles (Chuck) accepted a job with the Federal Aviation Administration and they chose to move to Oklahoma. They enjoyed their life in Oklahoma until 2002 when they decided to return to Florida.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family - especially the grandkids and great grandkids. She was Catholic by faith.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Charles; daughters Lori (Charlie) Gawron and Stacy (Darren) Armold; 5 grandkids: Mindy (Justin) Blanchard, Jason (Michelle) Finley, David (Ellie) Wayman, Austin (Dusty) Armold, and Brady Armold. 6 great-grandkids: Zaya Blanchard, Jase Wayman, Payton Wayman, Maddox Blanchard, Opie Armold and Amelia Finley. Sisters, Lucille Linthicum and Donna Hicks.

There will be a viewing at Heinz Funeral Home on Friday, May 8 from 10-11 am where a service will follow immediately after. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 12:30 PM.
