Marlene Carpenter

Marlene V. Carpenter, age 81, of Homosassa, FL, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Hospice of the Citrus and the Nature Coast in Lecanto, FL. Marlene was born in Belleville, IL the daughter of Otto and Emma Lake Bertelsman. She did clerical work in the medical field before moving to Homosassa from Hallsville, MD in 2002.Marlene was a member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church and the Catholic Womens Club. She was predeceased by by brothers, John and Vernon Bertelsman and son- in- law Gary Bradshaw. Marlene is survived by her husband Wilburn of Homosassa, FL, 4 children; Janet Bradshaw (Harold) Columbia, MO, Jeff Reisch, Columbia, MO,Joan Biggers (Loren), Paducah, KY, Jim Reisch (Peggy) St. Charles, MO, grandchildren; Shaun, Daniel,and Laura Bradshaw, Jason and Eric Reisch, John Reisch, Loren III, Travis,and Christian Biggers and great grandchildren; Bailey, Slade, Rocco, Loren IV, Penelope, Finley, Emma, Kirsten and Abby.Visiting hours for Mrs. Carpenter will be held at Heinz Funeral Home on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM. The Funeral Mass  will take place at St. Scholastica Catholic Church, Lecanto, FL at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hamilton, Ohio at a later date.
