Mark Toombs

Mark A. Toombs, 56, of Inverness, FL passed away on October 29, 2016 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast House in Lecanto, FL.  Mark was born on May 1, 1960 in Layfette, IN, son of Larry and Patricia.  He attended Purdue and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University.  Mark was the owner and president of Training Edge, a management training company.  He moved to Inverness in April, 2013 from Orlando, FL where he married Dawn on May 26, 2013.  Mark enjoyed fishing, fantasy football and baseball, sports, traveling, and loved a good debate.  Mark also never met a stranger and he always remembered everyone’s name.

The most important people to Mark were his family; his mother, father, and brothers, but most precious was his wife, Dawn, who was the love of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn Fields-Toombs of Inverness, FL; mother, Patricia Baker and her husband Robert of Plymouth, IN; father, Larry Toombs and companion Carolyn Mickels of Mishawaka, IN; stepmother, Judy Toombs of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Michael Toombs and his wife Donna of St. Louis, MO and David Toombs and his wife Samantha of Cincinnati, OH; step sisters, Jodi White and husband Charles of Plymouth, IN, Dawn Molnar and husband Daniel of Elkhart, IN, and Jill Baker of South Bend, IN; sister-in-law Tracy Bartholomew and husband Henry of Kalamazoo, MI; paternal in laws, Al and Sue Belanger of Lake Leelanau, MI; maternal in laws, Sandy and Jerry Winowiecki of Northport, MI; nieces and nephews, Ross and Olivia Toombs of St. Louis, MO and Jacob Bartholomew of Kalamazoo, MI; and god children, Austin Lampe of Orlando, FL and Courtney Lampe of Seymour, TN.
