Lena Cascio

Lena Cascio, 85, of Lecanto, Fl, died on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the Hospice of Citrus County and the Nature Coast House in Lecanto, FL.  She was born July 4, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Paul and Mary Musacchia.

She was a bank teller and Assistant Manager for Pioneer Bank. She moved to Lecanto, FL in 1990. Lena was a Volunteer at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness.  Her greatest priority was her family.  She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, reading, and travel.

Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cascio in 2008.  Survivors include her daughters, Mary Napolitano and husband Robert of Lecanto, FL and Susan Marotta and husband Anthony of Lecanto, FL; sister, Stella Alborano of Lecanto, FL; brother, Russolino Musacchia of Spring Hill, FL four grandchildren, John Gatto of Orlando, FL, Erica Nelson and husband Rob of Lecanto, FL, Kate Marotta of Orlando, FL and Stephanie Marotta of Delray, FL; and great granddaughter Angelina Nelson.

A memorial service for Mrs. Cascio will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Heinz Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services.  Reverend Kenneth Blyth will preside.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.
