Judy Colwell

Judy Maxine Colwell, 72, of Inverness, Florida died Monday, October 15, 2018 in Lecanto, Florida. She was born in Surrency, Georgia, the daughter of Elizabeth and Frank Holland. She was a bookkeeper for over ten years at Pool’s Plus. She married James Colwell in 1964. After retirement they enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises all over the world. She loved to sew and loved to make dresses, blankets, and quilts for her family to enjoy. She also loved to cook, especially her husband’s favorite dish, homemade lasagna. She was a loving wife, aunt, and friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, of 54 years, James Colwell, two sisters; Carol Kimball and her husband Roger of Bradenton, Florida, Nancy Slaygle of Bradenton, Florida, and a host of nephews, nieces, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 beginning at 11:30am until the time of the Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. at the Heinz Funeral Home located at 2507 US Hwy 44 in Inverness, Florida with Reverend Todd Colwell, officiating. Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Judy’s name to the American Cancer Association.
