Josephine Guzman-Long

Josephine Guzman-Long, 77, of Beverly Hills, Florida, passed on February 12, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends, while under the care of the Vitas Hospice team. She was born in Manhattan, New York on July 18, 1945, to the late Raymond and Celia Rivera. 

Josephine enjoyed reading, sitting by her pool, playing Scrabble and being with her dog, Hollywood.  She volunteered her time in hospitals and at the Lecanto V.A.  She was a member of Faith Fellowship Church where she was a Bible study teacher. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.  She worked as a probation officer in Citrus County for over 30 years.

Survivors include, her son, Gregory Guzman; three grandchildren, Gabriel, Julius, and Calis; sister-in-law, Anna Rivera; and brother-in-law, Ildefonso Narvaez and his wife Lucy.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Heinz Funeral Home in  Inverness; followed by a procession to Fero Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills, for a Graveside Service at 1:00 PM.
