Joanne Namey

Joanne Namey, age 69, of Hernando, passed away surrounded by family on April 22, 2025. A native of New Britain Connecticut, Joanne was born on December 21, 1955 to the late Stephen and Marie Sanada.

She was a former co-owner of Innovative Model Products with Gregory Namey, and she dedicated many years to working at Avante in Inverness as a CNA and an administrative clerk. When not working, Joanne enjoyed spending time with her friends, cooking delicious meals, crocheting beautiful crafts, listening to classic rock, and providing tender care to her cats. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her endless compassion and the way her humor could always bring joy to a room. Her love has touched the lives of many, and her spirit remains forever in our hearts.

Joanne is survived by her son Jamil (Jennifer) Namey; her daughter Jenny; grandchildren: Jaden, Paige, Caleb, Eliana, Reagan, Allison, and Madilynn; brother Stephen (Alice) Sanada, Jr.; sister Christine (Steve) Delgrosso; and many other extended family members and friends.

With heavy hearts, we thank you for the ways in which you’ve shaped each of us. Your loving presence and the memories you leave behind will never be forgotten.
