Lecanto, FL- On July 14,2016 Jamie Laliberty, 44 a resident of Spooner Cottage peacefully passed away surrounded by angels waiting to take himon his ascent to heaven. Jamie is survived by his two sisters, Michelle Lepage and husband Denis of Winslow, ME and Jackie Orchard and husband Deanof Winslow, ME. Jamie was born in Portland, ME in 1972 to his predeceased very proud parents, Donna and Rene Laliberty. Jamie attended schools in Winslow where he graduated High School in 1990. In 1992, Jamie  along with parents moved to Hernando, FL. Jamie loved life and everyone he came in contact with. He left a loving and lasting impression who were fortunate enough to know him. We feel so blessed to have had Jamie as part of our family. He was truely the light of our lives. He loved playing music, singing and playing video games but his biggest love of all was impersonating Elvis. He took his Elvis act to a local nursing home and Elvis attended every birthday partyand special event that he could. In our home he was fondly known as the "King" Jamie came into this world, and there he lived to teach our hearts the way to sing and how to care. My beautiful brother this was your most precious achievement. Jamie was blessed to have many devoted friends that cared for him over the years. A special thank you to marcia and audley Wellington, the staff at the Amber Place, the Key Training Center, the staff at Spooner Cottage, and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, all for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to (FFRA), Family and Friends Reaching for Abilities, wwwffracitrus.org or to the Key Training Center at www.keytrainingcenter.org. FFRA serves as an independent educational and resource support network dedicated to developmentally disabled adults and the Key Training Center provides programs and services for persons with developmental disabilities.
