Irving Taylor

Irving R. Taylor , age 87, passed away on April 28, 2017.  Born on October 18, 1929 in Cohoes, NY, he was the son of Lloyd and Florence (McLean) Taylor.

Well known for his great sense of humor and sense of adventure, Irv lived life to the fullest.  A NYS Stock Car Assoc. Hall of Fame member, he competed on 32 tracks in New York state alone in the 1950’s, 60’s, and 70’s.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycles, fishing in the gulf and spending time with his friends and family.

Irving is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy, of 67 years and three daughters, Deborah Hollenbeck of South Glens Falls, NY, Donna Richardson of Holyoke, MA and Diane Taylor of Ballston Lake, NY.  He was the grandfather of five grandchildren, Bill Bloodgood, Tracy Rudin, Seth Richardson, Joel Richardson and Jenna Van Der Volgen and three great-grandchildren, Taylor Kelley and Skyler Florence and Erick Rudin.
