Helen V. Wyka, 87, of Inverness, FL, died on June 24, 2018. Helen was born on March 9, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of John and Helen McAneney. She was a keypunch operator. Helen and her husband Casimir moved to Inverness in 1976 from Nassau County, Long Island, NY. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She also volunteered at OLOF Helping Hands for many years. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Casimir in 1988 and daughter Karen Seymour in 2017. Survivors include her sons, Bruce Wyka of Inverness, FL and Keith Wyka and wife Tammy of Bonita Springs, FL, four grandchildren, Matthew Lande of Portland, OR, Sarah Reins and Jesse Stephens of Beverly Hills, FL, Stephanie Connell of Clermont, FL and Daniel Wyka of Franklin, TN and six great grandchildren, Jadyn and Josiah Reins and Nicholas and Logan Stephens all of Beverly Hills, FL and Jack and Aubrey Wyka of Franklin, TN.
Visitation for Helen Wyka will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness, FL. A vigil service will be at 3:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 am on Friday, June 29, 2018 at our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness, FL. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Inverness, FL.
