Geraldine Faye Goins, "Gerry", a beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully at her home on January 6, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in Tampa, Florida, on December 17, 1941, she was the cherished daughter of the late Ralph and Eleanor (nee Hawsey) Jones.

Gerry's career in data entry for Time Warner Magazines showcased her dedication and work ethic, but it was her warm and kind personality that truly left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She was well-regarded for her super nice demeanor, making her a beloved friend and pillar of support to many.

As a faithful member and pianist at Citrus Missionary Baptist Church in Inverness, Florida, Gerry shared her musical talents and dedication to her church. She was not only a talented pianist but also an active participant in church activities, leaving an impactful legacy of love and support in her congregation.

Gerry found joy in bowling and cherishing moments spent with her friends and family. Her life was enriched by an unwavering love for her loved ones, which was evident in all her interactions.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Ed Goins; her daughter, Dorinda Haynes and her husband Jeff; her step-daughter, Deborah Enderle and her husband Brian; two step-sons, Doug and Gregory Goins; as well as four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.

A graveside service to celebrate Gerry's life will be held at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park in Tampa, Florida, on January 9, 2026, at 1 PM. Pastor Troy Sheppard will lead the service, honoring the legacy of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. As we reflect on her life, we remember her kindness, her love for music, and her undying spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
