Francis J. Trepanier, 79, of Inverness, died on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast in Lecanto, FL. Francis was born on February 3, 1938 in La Crosse, WI, son of Phillip and Ruby Trepanier. He was a 21 year veteran of the US Air Force, serving three tours in Vietnam. Francis was the owner of TrepCo Air Conditioning and Heating in Portsmouth, NH and the former owner of Citrus Equipment in Crystal River, FL. He moved to Inverness in 1990 from Portsmouth, NH. Francis was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #6931 and received his 4 th Degree at the Knights of Columbus Abbot Francis Sadlier Council #6168. Other memberships include the Friends of Fort Cooper and the Holiday Rambler RV Club. Francis participated in the construction of more than 45 homes nationwide with the Habitat for Humanity.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Trepanier of Inverness, FL; daughters, Linda R. Weis and husband Stephen of New Port News, VA and Cheryl Trepanier of Crystal River, FL; sister Patty Jo Shaw of California; four grandchildren, Daniel Weis and Allison Weis both of New Port News, VA, Elizabeth Suasnavar of Inverness, FL, and Anthony Suasnavar of Gainesville, FL; and niece, Becky Shaw of Californina.
The family of Mr. Trepanier will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Heinz Funeral Home with a rosary at 3:00 p.m. and vigil service at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness.
