Francis Frank Leonardo Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francis Frank Leonardo Jr. on July 25, 2025, at the age of 79. Frank was born in Callicoon, NY on September 6, 1945, to Francis Frank Leonardo and Gladys (Bernhardt) Leonardo.

Frank met the love of his life, Patricia M. Brant in Jeffersonville, NY, and they married in September 1969.

Frank was an Army Veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a master mechanic for the Sullivan County Department of Public Works for 30 years. He then worked as a courier for Jeff Bank in Jeffersonville, NY for 11 years before retiring to Homosassa Springs, Florida in 2018.

Frank served as volunteer for the Lake Huntington Fire Department, Kenoza Lake Fire Department, and the Cochecton Ambulance Corps.

Frank was well liked and respected for his work ethic, his volunteer service, his sarcastic sense of humor and straight forward demeanor.

In recent years, Frank enjoyed relaxing with Patricia at home, bird watching, fishing with his brother-in-law, Ed in the canals around Florida, and was never seen without his constant companion, Benji, a shih tzu.

Frank is survived by his wife, Patricia of Homosassa Springs; his daughter, Brandy Leonardo of Lake Huntington, NY; his son, Chad (Keisha) Leonardo of Leland, NC; siblings, Sharon (Edward) Snyder of FL, Christina Macy of PA, Maureen (Mike) Kellam of PA, Renae Bishop of NY, Janet Burnett (Mike DeLanis) of FL, and Thomas Leonardo of NY; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hoag, Katrina Hoag, Bristol Smith, Derek Leonardo, and Kayli Leonardo; three great-grandchildren, Ileana Pena, Corbin Husted, and Jaxen Husted; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Gladys Leonardo.
