Fran Wein, 88, of Inverness, Florida, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 22, 2026. Born in Little Rock, AR on October 12, 1937 to her late parents, George and Hazel (Hillis, McKee) Hudson, she moved to Citrus County with her husband, Billy Wein (high school sweetheart) in 1998. She was a woman of devoted faith whose love for the Lord Jesus Christ guided every part of her life. Her faith was reflected in her kindness, strength, and compassion for others.
Fran found great joy in serving her Lord as a faithful member of Citrus Missionary Baptist Church. She cherished time with her family, creating many treasured memories with her grandchildren- especially on trips, camping adventures, and days at home spent doing crafts, and painting. She loved her community and was a bright light to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
Fran was survived by husband, of 69 years, Billy: two children, son, Billy Wein, Jr. (Maria); and daughter, Anita Wein; son-in-law Daniel Hartman; her cherished grandchildren: Sarah, Amanda, Ashley, Daniel Jr., Elizabeth, Alex, Sam, Gio, Bella, and Tia; 18 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Anne Herb Harrison.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters: Judy Antoon and Sherry Hartman; and her sister, Judy Collings.
There will be a viewing at Citrus Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 10 AM -11 AM, and a service will follow at 11 AM. Following services, she will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery at 1:30 PM. There will be a luncheon at Citrus Missionary Baptist Church after the service at the cemetery.
