Dora Schmidt

Dora Irene Schmidt , 85, of Lecanto, FL, died on March 22, 2017 at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. Dora was born on July 28, 1931 in St. Augustine, FL, daughter of Ernest and Wrinnie Gaines.  Before the death of her husband, they enjoyed many years of traveling. She loved God, her husband and her children which were her whole world.

Dora was preceded in death by her husband Fred and brother, Ernest Jr. Survivors include 6 children; Frederick Schmidt, Jr. of Lees Summit, MO, Ricky Schmidt of Madison, WI, Terry Berger (Lennie) of the Villages, FL, Vicki Tapley (Steve), Sharon Beaudry both of Inverness, FL and Debbie Holt (David) of Omaha, NE; 18 grandchildren;  and 15 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Floral City, FL.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast.   Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.  heinzfh.com
