Dennis McCarthy

Dennis John McCarthy, 49, of Inverness, FL died on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Shands at UF in Gainesville, FL.  Dennis was born on November 7, 1968 in Bridgeport, CT, son of Daniel and Karen McCarthy.  He owned a painting business.  He moved to Inverness in 2011 from Oxford, FL.  He worked for Bergeron Maintenance in The Villages.  Dennis loved to rock out with his friends in his band "Misused".

Mr. McCarthy is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Kevin and Brian McCarthy.  Survivors include his wife, Jessica of Inverness, FL; three children, Julianna, Erin, and Colin McCarthy, all of Inverness, FL; sister, Mary A. Farrington of Fairfield, CT; and two brothers, Christopher McCarthy of Monroe, CT and John P. McCarthy of Fairfield, CT.

A memorial service for Dennis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Heinz Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.  In lieu of flowers, donations for Dennis's children would be appreciated.  Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.  heinzfh.com
