Dennis F. Carey

Dennis F. Carey, 77, of Homosassa, FL, and Montrose, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. Born March 31, 1948, in Endicott, NY, the son of the late Vaughn C. and Dorothy J. (Towslee) Carey. His wife, Mary (Bailey) Carey, predeceased him in 2014.

Dennis was a Partner/Operator of the former Stables Restaurant and Choconut Market.

Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a founding member and past officer for the Montrose Area Kiwanis Club, helping with the many Chicken BBQs and the July 4th event in Montrose. He was also a member of the VFW Post 5642, Montrose, PA.

Survivors include: daughter, Colleen (Michael) Moran of Binghamton, NY; grandchildren, Brayden & Max; brother, David & Linda Carey of Brackney, PA; nieces and nephews.
