David Grant

David H. Grant, 57, of Inverness, FL died on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his home.  David was born on July 9, 1959 in Dover, NJ, son of Donald Grant and Veronica Grant Wood. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy. After his military service, David travelled the United States.  He moved to Inverness in 1995 from St. Petersburg, FL.  He was Catholic.  David was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.  He loved his children, his grandchildren and his family.

David is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Elizabeth.  Survivors include his mother, Veronica Wood of Lecanto; father, Donald Grant of Branchville, NJ; son; David J. Grant of Maine; daughter Lindsay Holleran of Morristown, NJ; four brothers, Donald Grant of Inverness, FL, Richard Grant and wife Rhett of Tarpon Springs, FL, William Grant and wife Claudia of Inverness, FL, and Kyle Grant of Fall River, MA; five grandchildren, James, George, Zach, Gabrielle, and Robert; six nephews and nieces, Donald, Christine, Tami, Megan, Allison, Veronica and Samantha.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Inverness.  Interment will be at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover, NJ.  Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.
