Calogero Ferraro

Calogero Ferraro, 81, Citrus Springs, Florida went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at his home. Calogero was born on September 19, 1936 in Sicily, Italy, the son of Maria and Luigi Ferraro. He and his wife were owners of Ferraro’s Bakery in Long Island, New York. Calogero moved to Citrus Springs, in 2007, from West Palm Beach, Florida. He was Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Calogero was preceded in death by his wife; Pia Ferraro, son; Luigi Ferraro, and daughter; Luisa Ferraro. Survivors include four daughters; Maria Rita Ingoglia of Shirley, New York, Josephine Ferraro of West Palm Beach, Florida, Liliana DeJesus and her husband JR of Lake Worth, Florida and Silvana Ferraro of Lecanto, Florida; eleven grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on June 6, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m.  with a Prayer Service, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Heinz Funeral Home 2507 Hwy 44 West Inverness, FL. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church located at 6 Roosevelt Blvd in Beverly Hills, Florida, on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., with Father Erwin Belgica officiating. Interment will be Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Coram, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to local children's homes, in Calogero Ferraro's name.
