Brian Hurn

Brian G. Hurn , 56, of Lecanto, FL, died on October 21, 2013 at his home.  Brian was born on March 14, 1957 in Chicago, IL, son of James and Rita Hurn.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Brian was a paramedic and certified master rescue diver for the Chicago Fire Department from which he retired after 27 years.  He moved to Lecanto, FL in 2007 from Chicago.  He joined the Citrus County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy in 2010.  Brian was a member of St. Scholastica Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Lecanto.

Brian was the dear husband of Eileen, devoted father of Brandon, Steven, Lauren and Marita, loving son of the late James and Rita Hurn, and cherished brother of the late Sharon Ann Hurn.

Brian lived with such passion and zest for life.  He loved deeply and cared for each and every person who crossed his path.  Not only did he touch our lives, he truly changed us with his spirit which will live on forever and ever.
