Arthur C. Marinelli, 95, of Citrus Springs, Florida, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 in New Port Richey, FL. He was born on March 24, 1924 in Providence, RI, son of the late Nicholas and Eva Marinelli.
Mr. Marinelli graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and was a member of the Rhode Island Honor Society of Secondary Schools. He was a veteran of the US Army and served as an interpreter during World War II.
In 1947, he graduated from Brown University and then furthered his education at UCLA where he earned his Master’s degree in Education in 1952. Mr. Marinelli taught elementary and secondary schools, did teacher training at UCLA, and was an Elementary School Vice Principal. He was also a Summer Session Administrator, Curriculum Coordinator and a counselor. He was a High School Principal and a member of the Brown University 1764 Society.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Madeline Marinelli. Survivors include two sons, Glenn Marinelli of New Port Richey, FL, and Brian Martinelli of New Port Richey, FL; and two grandchildren, Amanda Martinelli and Matthew Martinelli.
Mr. Marinelli will be laid to rest privately at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
